Measure your dog from nose to base of tail while they are lying stretched out, then add a few centimetres. Most dogs sleep stretched rather than curled, so a bed sized to a curled-up dog will get ignored.

Between two sizes?
Size up. A bed slightly too big still works; one slightly too small gets ignored. A hoodie slightly too big can still be worn; one that pulls across the chest will not be.

The hoodie has a built-in leash slot, so the lead clips through rather than you lifting it at every stop. The underbelly is cut away so your dog can go to the toilet without taking it off, and the hood pulls tight with a drawstring.
Machine washable. Wash it with the drawstring loosened.
